Hadith 436:4
Hammad ibn Usamah narrated to us, he said: Hisham informed us, from his father, who said: Umar went out to the people, striking them for the two prostrations after the afternoon prayer (Asr), until he passed by Tamim al-Dari. He (Tamim) said: "I will not abandon them; I prayed them with one who is better than you, the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace." Umar said: "If the people were like you, I would not care."
حدثنا حماد بن أسامة، قال: أخبرنا هشام، عن أبيه، قال: خرج عمر على الناس يضربهم على السجدتين بعد العصر، حتى مر بتميم الداري، فقال: " لا أدعهما، صليتهما مع من هو خير منك رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم " فقال عمر: " إن الناس لو كانوا كهيئتك لم أبال " . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
