Hadith 684:7
Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, Shu‘bah narrated to us, from Makhariq, from Tariq ibn Shihab, who said: A delegation of Bajilah came to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "Clothe the Bajilis, and begin with the Ahmasis." He said: A man from Qays stayed behind and said: "Until I see what the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, says to them." He said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, supplicated for them five times: "O Allah, send blessings upon them," or "O Allah, bless them." (Makhariq is the one who is uncertain).
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر، حدثنا شعبة، عن مخارق، عن طارق بن شهاب قال: قدم وفد بجيلة على رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " اكسوا البجليين، وابدءوا بالأحمسيين " قال: فتخلف رجل من قيس قال: حتى أنظر ما يقول لهم رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: قال: فدعا لهم رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم خمس مرات: " اللهم صل عليهم، أو اللهم بارك فيهم " مخارق الذي يشك
