Musnad Ahmad 576:5

'Affan and Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, they said: Shu'bah narrated to us, he said: 'Affan said in his narration: Al-Hakam told me, from Zayd ibn Wahb, from Al-Bara' ibn 'Azib, from Thabit ibn Wada'ah, that he said: A dabb (lizard) was brought to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he said: "A nation that was transformed, and Allah knows best." 'Affan said: "And Allah knows best."
