Hadith 981:1
Hassan and Hajjaj narrated to us, they said: Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, Abu Qabil narrated to us, he said: I heard Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Jubulani saying. Hajjaj said: From Abu Qabil, Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Jubulani narrated to me, that he heard Thawban, the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying: "I would not love that I possess the world and what is in it in exchange for this verse: 'O My servants who have transgressed against themselves, do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful' [Az-Zumar: 53]." A man said: "O Messenger of Allah, what about one who associates partners with Allah (shirk)?" The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, remained silent, then he said: "Except for one who associates partners with Allah, except for one who associates partners with Allah," three times.
حدثنا حسن، وحجاج قالا: حدثنا ابن لهيعة، حدثنا أبو قبيل قال: سمعت أبا عبد الرحمن المري يقول: قال حجاج: عن أبي قبيل، حدثني أبو عبد الرحمن الجبلاني، أنه سمع ثوبان مولى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: " ما أحب أن لي الدنيا وما فيها بهذه الآية: {يا عبادي الذين أسرفوا على أنفسهم لا تقنطوا من رحمة الله، إن الله يغفر الذنوب جميعا إنه هو الغفور الرحيم} [الزمر: 53] فقال رجل: يا رسول الله، فمن أشرك؟ فسكت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ثم قال: " إلا من أشرك إلا من أشرك " ثلاث مرات
