Hadith 981:22
Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Thawr, from Rashid ibn Sa'd, from Thawban, who said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent out a military detachment, and they were afflicted by the cold. When they came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), they complained to him about the cold that had afflicted them. So he commanded them to wipe over the turbans (al-'asa'ib) and the foot-coverings (al-tasakhin)."
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد، عن ثور، عن راشد بن سعد، عن ثوبان قال: " بعث رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم سرية فأصابهم البرد، فلما قدموا على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم شكوا إليه ما أصابهم من البرد فأمرهم أن يمسحوا على العصائب والتساخين "
