Hadith 981:43
Yunus and 'Affan narrated to us, they said: Hammad narrated to us, from Ayyub, from Abu Qilabah, from Abu Asma', from Thawban—I do not know it except that he attributed it to the Prophet—'Affan said: From Thawban, he attributed it to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, he said: "The one who visits the sick is in the fruit-garden of Paradise." And Ibn Mahdi did not express doubt regarding it.
حدثنا يونس، وعفان قالا: حدثنا حماد، عن أيوب، عن أبي قلابة، عن أبي أسماء، عن ثوبان لا أعلمه إلا قد رفعه، قال عفان: عن ثوبان رفعه إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " عائد المريض في مخرفة الجنة " ولم يشك فيه ابن مهدي
