Hadith 981:58
Al-Hasan ibn Siwar narrated to us, Layth—meaning Ibn Sa'd—narrated to us, from Mu'awiyah, from 'Utbah Abu Umayyah al-Dimashqi, from Abu Salam al-Aswad, from Thawban, that he said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) perform ablution and wipe over the leather socks, and over the head-covering, meaning the turban."
حدثنا الحسن بن سوار، حدثنا ليث يعني ابن سعد، عن معاوية، عن عتبة أبي أمية الدمشقي، عن أبي سلام الأسود، عن ثوبان أنه قال: " رأيت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم توضأ ومسح على الخفين، وعلى الخمار، يعني العمامة "
