Ali ibn Abdullah ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Abd al-Malik ibn Abdullah ibn Uthman narrated to us, Yazid ibn Zuray' narrated to us, from Sa'id ibn Abi Arubah, from Qatadah, from Salim ibn Abi al-Ja'd, from Ma'dan ibn Abi Talhah, from Thawban, from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, who said: "Whoever asks for a request while he is wealthy enough to be independent of it, it will be a mark upon his face on the Day of Resurrection."
