Hadith 981:80
'Abd al-Malik ibn 'Amr narrated to us, Hisham—meaning Ibn Abi 'Abd Allah—narrated to us, and Ibn Ja'far—meaning Ghundar—narrated to us, Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Salim ibn Abi al-Ja'd, from Ma'dan ibn Abi Talhah, from Thawban, from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, who said: "Whoever follows a funeral procession and prays over it, for him is a qirat. If he witnesses its burial, he shall have two qirats." They said: "And what are the two qirats?" He said: "The smaller of them is like Uhud."
حدثنا عبد الملك بن عمرو، حدثنا هشام يعني ابن أبي عبد الله، وابن جعفر يعني غندرا حدثنا سعيد، عن قتادة، عن سالم بن أبي الجعد، عن معدان بن أبي طلحة، عن ثوبان، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " من تبع جنازة فصلى عليها فله قيراط، فإن شهد دفنها كان له قيراطان ". قالوا: وما القيراطان؟ قال: " أصغرهما مثل أحد "
