Hadith 981:94
'Abd al-Wahhab al-Khaffaf narrated to us, he said: Sa'id was asked about the man who follows a funeral procession, what reward he has. So he informed us from Qatadah, from Salim ibn Abi al-Ja'd, from Ma'dan ibn Abi Talhah, from Thawban, the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever prays over a funeral, for him is a qirat. And if he witnesses its burial, then for him are two qirats." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was asked about that qirat, and he said: "Like Uhud."
حدثنا عبد الوهاب الخفاف قال: سئل سعيد عن الرجل يتبع الجنازة ما له من الأجر فأخبرنا عن قتادة، عن سالم بن أبي الجعد، عن معدان بن أبي طلحة، عن ثوبان مولى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " من صلى على جنازة فله قيراط، فإن شهد دفنها فله قيراطان ". فسئل النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم عن ذلك القيراط. فقال: " مثل أحد "
