Musnad Ahmad 377:1

Al-Zubayri Muhammad ibn Abdullah narrated to us, he said: Isra'il narrated to us, from Simak, he said: Abd al-Aziz ibn Abdullah ibn Amir narrated to me, he said: Someone who heard the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, narrated to me, and he ordered the stoning of a man between Makkah and Madinah. When he felt the touch of the stones, he went out and fled. The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Why did you not leave him?"
