Hadith 1064:3
Yazid narrated to us, Ibn Abi Dhi'b informed us, from Al-Harith ibn 'Abd al-Rahman, who said: While I was sitting with Abu Salamah ibn 'Abd al-Rahman, a man from Banu Ghifar, a son of 'Abd Allah ibn Tuhfah, appeared before us. Abu Salamah said: "Will you not tell us the story of your father?" He said: My father, 'Abd Allah ibn Tuhfah, narrated to me: That when the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) had many guests with him, he would say: "Let every man depart with his guest." Until one night, a large number of guests gathered with him, and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Let every man depart with his companion." He said: So I was among those who departed with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). When he entered, he said: "O 'Aishah, is there anything?" She said: "Yes, a *huwaysah* (a small amount of food) that I had prepared for your breaking of the fast." He said: So she brought it in a small bowl of hers. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) took a little from it and ate it, then said: "Take, in the name of Allah." So we ate from it until we could no longer see it. Then he said: "Do you have any drink?" She said: "Yes, some milk that I had prepared for you." He said: "Bring it." So she brought it, and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) took it and raised it to his mouth and drank a little, then said: "Drink, in the name of Allah." So we drank until, by Allah, we could no longer see it. Then we went out and came to the mosque, and I lay down on my stomach. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) came out and began to wake the people: "The prayer, the prayer." When he went out, he would wake the people for prayer. He passed by me while I was on my stomach and said: "Who is this?" I said: "I am 'Abd Allah ibn Tuhfah." He said: "Indeed, this is a lying position that Allah dislikes."
حدثنا يزيد، أخبرنا ابن أبي ذئب، عن الحارث بن عبد الرحمن، قال: بينا أنا جالس مع أبي سلمة بن عبد الرحمن إذ طلع علينا رجل من بني غفار ابن لعبد الله بن طهفة، فقال أبو سلمة: ألا تخبرنا عن خبر أبيك؟ قال: حدثني أبي عبد الله بن طهفة: أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كان إذا كثر الضيف عنده قال: " لينقلب كل رجل بضيفه " حتى إذا كان ذات ليلة اجتمع عنده ضيفان كثير، وقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " لينقلب كل رجل مع جليسه " قال: فكنت ممن انقلب مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فلما دخل قال: " يا عائشة هل من شيء؟ " قالت: نعم حويسة كنت أعددتها لإفطارك، قال: فجاءت بها في قعيبة لها، فتناول رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم منها قليلا فأكله، ثم قال: " خذوا بسم الله " فأكلنا منها حتى ما ننظر إليها، ثم قال: " هل عندك من شراب؟ " قالت: نعم، لبينة كنت أعددتها لك. قال: " هلميها " فجاءت بها، فتناولها رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فرفعها إلى فيه فشرب قليلا، ثم قال: " اشربوا بسم الله " فشربنا، حتى، والله، ما ننظر إليها، ثم خرجنا فأتينا المسجد، فاضطجعت على وجهي، فخرج رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فجعل يوقظ الناس: " الصلاة الصلاة " وكان إذا خرج يوقظ الناس للصلاة فمر بي وأنا على وجهي، فقال: " من هذا؟ " فقلت: أنا عبد الله بن طهفة، فقال: " إن هذه ضجعة يكرهها الله "
