Musnad Ahmad 1012:119

'Abdullah narrated to us, Ishaq bin Mansur al-Kawsaj narrated to us, Muhammad bin Yusuf informed us, Ibn Thawban narrated to us, from his father, from Makhul, from Jubayr bin Nufayr, that 'Ubadah bin as-Samit narrated to them that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "There is no Muslim man on the face of the earth who calls upon Allah with a supplication, except that Allah gives it to him, or He averts from him an equivalent amount of evil, as long as he does not supplicate for a sin or the severing of kinship ties."
