Musnad Ahmad 1012:127

Ya'mar ibn Bishr narrated to us, Abdullah ibn al-Mubarak narrated to us, Rashdin ibn Sa'd informed us, Abu Hani' al-Khawlani narrated to me, from 'Amr ibn Malik al-Janbi, that Fudalah ibn 'Ubayd and 'Ubadah ibn al-Samit narrated to him that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When the Day of Resurrection comes, and Allah has finished judging the creation, two men will remain. It will be commanded that they be taken to the Fire. One of them will look back, so the Compeller (al-Jabbar) will say: 'Bring him back.' They will bring him back. He will say to him: 'Why did you look back?' He will say: 'I was hoping that You would admit me into Paradise.' It will be commanded that he be taken to Paradise. He will say: 'Allah has given me so much that even if I were to feed the people of Paradise, it would not diminish anything of what I have.'" He said: Whenever the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) mentioned this, joy could be seen on his face.
