Musnad Ahmad 1012:77

Hashim narrated to us, Layth narrated to us, from Yazid ibn Abi Habib, from Abu al-Khayr, from al-Sunabih, from Ubadah ibn al-Samit, that he said: I am one of the Nujaba (chieftains) who pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. He said: "And we pledged allegiance to him that we would not associate anything with Allah, we would not commit adultery, we would not steal, we would not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden, and we would not plunder. And if we were to commit any of that, the judgment of that would be up to Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He."
