Musnad Ahmad 1012:78

Ya'qub ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, my father narrated to us, from Salih, and Ibn Shihab narrated that Mahmud ibn al-Rabi'—the one whom the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, spat into his face from their well twice—informed him, that 'Ubadah ibn al-Samit informed him that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "There is no prayer for the one who does not recite the Mother of the Qur'an."
