Hadith of Ubayd, the freed slave of the Prophet (SAW)

حديث عبيد مولى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم

Hadith 1076:3

Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, ‘Uthman ibn Ghiyath narrated to us, he said: I was with Abu ‘Uthman, he said: A man from the people said: Narrate to us, Sa‘d or ‘Ubayd—‘Uthman ibn Ghiyath is the one who is in doubt—the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that they were commanded to fast. He said: Then a man came during part of the day and said: O Messenger of Allah, such-and-such a man and such-and-such a woman have been overcome by exhaustion. He then mentioned the meaning of the hadith of Yazid and Ibn ‘Adi from Sulayman.
