Musnad Ahmad 422:3

Abdullah ibn Ahmad said: Amr ibn Muhammad al-Naqid narrated to me, he said: Sa'id ibn Khuthaym al-Hilali narrated to us, he said: My grandmother, Rabi'ah bint 'Iyad al-Kilabiyyah, narrated to me, from her grandfather 'Ubaydah ibn 'Amr al-Kilabi, he said: I saw the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, performing ablution, and he perfected the purification. He said: And she—meaning his grandmother—whenever she took the water for purification, she would perfect it.
