Musnad Ahmad 1291:3

Ahmad ibn al-Hajjaj narrated to us, Abdullah and Ali ibn Ishaq narrated to us, Abdullah ibn al-Mubarak informed us, Ibn Jurayj informed us, Ubayd Allah ibn Abi Yazid informed me, that Abd al-Rahman ibn Tariq ibn Alqamah informed him, from his mother: "That the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, whenever he entered a place in the house of Ya'la—Ubayd Allah attributed it—he would face the House (the Kaaba) and supplicate." He said: "And whenever Abdullah ibn Kathir and I would come to that place, we would face the House and supplicate."
