Hadith 1165:7

Abu Salamah al-Khuza'i narrated to us, he said: Layth and Yunus informed us, they said: Layth—meaning Ibn Sa'd—narrated to us, from Yazid ibn al-Had, from Hind bint al-Harith, from Umm al-Fadl, that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, entered upon al-'Abbas while he was complaining [of illness], and he wished for death. So he said: "O 'Abbas, O uncle of the Messenger of Allah, do not wish for death. If you were a doer of good, you would increase in goodness upon your goodness, which is better for you. And if you were a doer of evil, then for you to be delayed so that you may seek to please [Allah] is better for you. So do not wish for death." Yunus said: "And if you were a doer of evil, then for you to be delayed so that you may seek to please [Allah] from your evil is better for you."
