Musnad Ahmad 1181:1

Abu Amir narrated to us, he said: Fulayh narrated to us, from Ayyub ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Sa'sa'ah, from Ya'qub ibn Abi Ya'qub, from Umm al-Mundhir bint Qays al-Ansariyyah, she said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) entered upon me, and Ali was with him, and Ali was recovering from an illness. We had hanging bunches of dates, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood up eating from them, and Ali stood up eating from them. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) began saying to Ali: "Desist, for you are recovering." Until he stopped. She said: And I made barley and chard, and I brought it. She said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to Ali: "Eat from this, for it is more beneficial for you."
