Hadith of Umm ‘Amarah (RA)

Hadith 1184:1

Aswad ibn Amir narrated to us, he said: Sharik narrated to us, from Habib ibn Zayd, from his freedwoman Layla, from her paternal aunt Umm Amarah: That the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, entered upon her. He said: And men from her people gathered to her. He said: So she presented dates to them, and they ate. A man among them stepped aside, and the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "What is the matter with him?" He said: "I am fasting." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "As for him, there is no fasting person who has those who are not fasting eating in his presence, except that the angels pray for him until they finish."
