The Hadith of Umm Atiyyah al-Ansariyyah, whose name is Nusaybah (RA)
حديث أم عطية الأنصارية واسمها نسيبة
Hadith 1250:0
Narrated to us by Muhammad ibn Ja’far, who said: Narrated to us Shu’bah, from Hisham ibn Zayd, who said: I heard Anas ibn Malik say: Umm ‘Atiyyah al-Ansariyyah—and her name is Nusaybah—came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and gave him allegiance. He said to her: "Do not associate anything with Allah, do not steal, do not commit adultery, do not kill your children, do not bring a slander that you have forged between your hands and your feet, and do not disobey in what is good." She said: "So I pledged to him." She said: "And we used to refrain from wailing, except for the daughter of so-and-so, who reached us, so I went to the Prophet (ﷺ) and asked him about it. He did not say anything to me, so I returned, then I went back to him, and he did not say anything to me." She said: "So when I saw that he did not say anything to me, I returned to my house."
