Musnad Ahmad 1250:10

Yahya ibn Sa'id and Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, they said: Hisham informed us, from Hafsa, who said: Umm 'Atiyyah narrated to me, she said: One of the daughters of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, passed away. So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, came to us and said: "Wash her with lotus leaves, and wash her an odd number of times—three, or five, or more than that if you see fit—and put camphor, or something of camphor, in the final washing. Then when you have finished, inform me." She said: So when we finished, we informed him. He cast his lower garment (izar) to us and said: "Shroud her with it." Umm 'Atiyyah said: And we braided the hair of the daughter of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, into three braids, and we placed her braids behind her and her forelock.
