The Hadith of Umm Atiyyah al-Ansariyyah, whose name is Nusaybah (RA)
حديث أم عطية الأنصارية واسمها نسيبة
Hadith 1250:12
'Affan narrated to us, he said: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, he said: Hisham and Habib informed us, from Muhammad ibn Sirin, from Umm 'Atiyyah: "That the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) took a pledge from the women, among what he took, that they would not wail. A woman said: 'O Messenger of Allah, a woman helped me [in mourning], so shall I not help her?' She withdrew her hand, and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) withdrew his hand, and he did not accept her pledge."
حدثنا عفان، قال: حدثنا حماد بن سلمة، قال: أخبرنا هشام، وحبيب، عن محمد بن سيرين، عن أم عطية، " أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: أخذ على النساء فيما أخذ أن لا ينحن، فقالت امرأة: يا رسول الله، إن امرأة أسعدتني، أفلا أسعدها؟ فقبضت يدها وقبض رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يده فلم يبايعها "
