Hadith 906:6
Muhammad ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Tafawi narrated to us, Hisham and Yazid narrated to us, Hisham ibn Hassan informed us, from Hafsa bint Sirin, from Umm Atiyyah al-Ansariyyah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said—Yazid said: From the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) he said: "A woman shall not observe mourning for more than three days, except for a husband; for she shall observe mourning for him for four months and ten days. She shall not wear dyed clothing, except for 'asb (a type of Yemeni cloth), nor shall she apply kohl, nor shall she touch perfume, except when she is purified. Yazid said: The minimum of her purification. So when she is purified from her menses, a small amount of qist (costus) and azfar (a type of perfume)."
حدثنا محمد بن عبد الرحمن الطفاوي، حدثنا هشام، ويزيد، أخبرنا هشام بن حسان، عن حفصة بنت سيرين، عن أم عطية الأنصارية، قالت: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال يزيد: عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال، " لا تحد المرأة فوق ثلاث، إلا على زوج، فإنها تحد عليه أربعة أشهر وعشرا، ولا تلبس ثوبا مصبوغا إلا عصبا، ولا تكتحل، ولا تمس طيبا إلا عند طهرها، قال يزيد: أدنى طهرها، فإذا طهرت من محيضها، نبذة من قسط وأظفار "
