Musnad Ahmad 1166:20

Waki’ narrated to us, he said: Ibn Abi Dhi’b narrated to us, from Sa’id ibn Abi Sa’id al-Maqburi, from Abu Murrah, the freed slave of Fakhitah Umm Hani, from Fakhitah Umm Hani bint Abi Talib, she said: When the day of the conquest of Makkah arrived, I granted protection to two men of my in-laws. I brought them into a house and locked a door upon them. Then the son of my mother, Ali ibn Abi Talib, came and rushed toward them with his sword. She said: So I went to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, but I did not find him. I found Fatimah, and she was more severe toward me than her husband. She said: Then the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, came, and upon him was the trace of dust. I informed him, and he said: "O Umm Hani, we have granted protection to whom you have granted protection, and we have secured whom you have secured."
