Musnad Ahmad 1244:8

Hajjaj narrated to us, he said: Ibn Jurayj narrated to us, from Ibn Shihab, from Humayd ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf, from his mother, Umm Kulthum bint Uqbah, that she said: "The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, granted a concession for lying in three [cases]: in war, in reconciling between people, and a man’s speech to his wife."
