Hadith of Umm Salamah (RA), the wife of the Prophet (SAW)

Hadith 1156:131

'Affan narrated to us, he said: 'Abd al-Wahid ibn Ziyad narrated to us, he said: 'Uthman ibn Hakim narrated to us, he said: 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Shaybah narrated to us, he said: I heard Umm Salamah, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saying: I said to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace: "Why are we not mentioned in the Qur'an as men are mentioned?" She said: Nothing startled me from him on that day except his calling out from the pulpit. She said: I was combing my hair, so I wrapped my hair, then I went out to a chamber of the chambers of my house, and I placed my hearing near the palm-leaf stalks. And behold, he was saying from the pulpit: "O people, indeed Allah says in His Book: {Indeed, the Muslim men and Muslim women, the believing men and believing women} [Al-Ahzab: 35]," until the end of the verse, {Allah has prepared for them forgiveness and a great reward} [Al-Ahzab: 35].
