Hadith of Umm Salamah (RA), the wife of the Prophet (SAW)
حديث أم سلمة زوج النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 1156:170
'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, he said: Ma'mar narrated to us, from Hisham ibn 'Urwah, from his father, from Zaynab bint Abi Salamah, from Umm Salamah, that she said: "O Messenger of Allah, the sons of Abu Salamah are in my care, and they have nothing except what I spend on them, and I am not going to leave them like this and like that. Do I have a reward if I spend on them?" The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Spend on them, for you have the reward of what you spend on them."
حدثنا عبد الرزاق، قال: حدثنا معمر، عن هشام بن عروة، عن أبيه، عن زينب ابنة أبي سلمة، عن أم سلمة، أنها قالت: يا رسول الله، إن بني أبي سلمة في حجري، وليس لهم شيء إلا ما أنفقت عليهم، ولست بتاركتهم كذا ولا كذا، أفلي أجر إن أنفقت عليهم؟ فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: " أنفقي عليهم، فإن لك أجر ما أنفقت عليهم "
