Hadith 1156:187

Hajjaj narrated to us, he said: Shareek narrated to us, from ‘Asim, from Abu Wa’il, from Masruq, who said: ‘Abd al-Rahman entered upon Umm Salamah, and she said: I heard the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying: "Indeed, among my companions are those who will never see me after I die." He said: So ‘Abd al-Rahman went out from her in a state of panic until he entered upon ‘Umar and said to him: Hear what your mother says. So ‘Umar stood up until he came to her, entered upon her, and asked her. Then he said: I adjure you by Allah, am I among them? She said: "No, and I will not exonerate anyone after you."

حدثنا حجاج، قال: حدثنا شريك، عن عاصم، عن أبي وائل، عن مسروق، قال: دخل عبد الرحمن على أم سلمة، فقالت: سمعت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: " إن من أصحابي لمن لا يراني بعد أن أموت أبدا " قال: فخرج عبد الرحمن من عندها مذعورا حتى دخل على عمر، فقال له: اسمع ما تقول أمك، فقام عمر حتى أتاها، فدخل عليها، فسألها، ثم قال: أنشدك بالله، أمنهم أنا؟ فقالت: " لا، ولن أبرئ بعدك أحدا "
