Hadith of Umm Salamah (RA), the wife of the Prophet (SAW)
Hadith 1156:215
Rawh narrated to us, Zam'ah ibn Salih narrated to us, he said: I heard Ibn Shihab narrating from Abdullah ibn Wahb ibn Zam'ah, from Umm Salamah, that Abu Bakr went out as a merchant to Busra, and with him were Nu'ayman and Suwaybit ibn Harmalah, and both of them were Badr veterans. Suwaybit was in charge of the provisions. Nu'ayman came to him and said: "Feed me." He replied: "No, not until Abu Bakr comes." Nu'ayman was a man who was a joker and a prankster, so he said: "I will surely anger you." He went to some people who had brought riding animals and said: "Will you buy a slave of mine from me? He is an Arab, sharp-witted, and he has a tongue. Perhaps he will say: 'I am a free man.' If you are going to abandon him because of that, then leave me be; do not spoil my slave for me." They said: "Rather, we will buy him from you for ten young she-camels." He came forward driving them, and he brought the people until he tied them up. Then he said to the people: "Take him, he is this one." The people came and said: "We have bought you." Suwaybit said: "He is a liar, I am a free man." They said: "He has already told us your story," and they threw a rope around his neck and took him away. Abu Bakr came and was informed, so he and his companions went and returned the she-camels and took him back. The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and his companions laughed about that for a year.
