'Abd al-Malik ibn 'Amr and 'Abd al-Samad narrated to us, they said: Hisham narrated to us, from Yahya, from Abu Salamah, from Zaynab bint Umm Salamah, from Umm Salamah, who said: While I was lying down with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, in the velvet blanket, I began to menstruate, so I slipped away and took my menstruation garments. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said to me: "Are you menstruating?" I said: "Yes." So he called me, and I lay down with him in the velvet blanket. She and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, used to perform ghusl (ritual washing) from a single vessel due to sexual impurity. And the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, used to kiss her while he was fasting. Abu 'Abd al-Rahman said: Hadbah narrated it to us, he said: Aban ibn Yazid al-'Attar narrated to us, from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, with the chain of this hadith, and its meaning.
