'Affan narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, he said: Abu 'Awn informed me, he said: I heard 'Abdullah ibn Shaddad ibn al-Had narrating, he said: Marwan said: "How can we ask anyone about something while the wives of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, are among us?" So he sent to Umm Salamah and asked her. She said: "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, entered upon me, and I pulled out a shoulder [of meat] for him from a pot. He ate from it, then went out to the prayer."
