Musnad Ahmad 1156:56

Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, he said: Sharik ibn Abdullah informed us, from Jami‘ ibn Abi Rashid, from Mundhir al-Thawri, from al-Hasan ibn Muhammad, he said: A woman from the Ansar narrated to me—she is alive today, if you wish I will take you to her. I said: No, narrate to me. She said: I entered upon Umm Salamah, and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, entered upon her as if he were angry, so I covered myself with the hem of my garment. He spoke words I did not understand. I said: O Mother of the Believers, it is as if I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, enter while he was angry? She said: Yes. Have you not heard what he said? I said: And what did he say? She said: He said: "Indeed, when evil spreads on the earth and it is not forbidden, Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, sends His punishment upon the people of the earth." She said: I said: O Messenger of Allah, even if there are righteous people among them? She said: He said: "Yes, even if there are righteous people among them. What befalls the people will befall them, then Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, will take them to His forgiveness and His pleasure, or to His pleasure and His forgiveness."
