Musnad Ahmad 1156:58

Yazid narrated to us, he said: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Thabit al-Bunani, he said: Ibn Umar ibn Abi Salamah narrated to me in Mina, from his father, from Umm Salamah, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) proposed to Umm Salamah. She said: "O Messenger of Allah, there is no one among my guardians present," meaning a witness. He said: "There is no one among your guardians, present or absent, who dislikes that." So she said: "O Umar, marry the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to me." So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) married her. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to her: "I will not give you less than what I gave your sisters: two hand-mills, a water jar, and a leather pillow stuffed with palm fiber." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would come to her to consummate the marriage, but when she saw him, she would take her daughter, Zaynab, and place her in her lap, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would turn away. Ammar ibn Yasir learned of this—and he was her foster brother—so he came to her and said: "Where is this wretched, cursed girl with whom you have annoyed the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)?" He took her and went away with her. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came and entered upon her, and he began casting his gaze around the corners of the house. He said: "What has become of Zaynab?" She said: "Ammar came and took her and went away with her." So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) entered upon her and said to her: "If you wish, I will stay with you for seven days, and if I stay with you for seven days, I will stay with my wives for seven days."
