Hadith of Umm Salamah (RA), the wife of the Prophet (SAW)
Hadith 1156:60
Muhammad said: Abu Ubaydah said: Umm Qays bint Mihsan, who was a neighbor of theirs, narrated to me, saying: Ukashah ibn Mihsan went out from my place with a group of the Banu Asad, wearing their shirts, on the evening of the Day of Sacrifice (Yawm al-Nahr). Then they returned to me at nightfall, with their shirts in their hands, carrying them. She said: I said: "O Ukashah, what is the matter with you? You went out wearing your shirts, then you returned with your shirts in your hands, carrying them?" He said: "Good, O Umm Qays. This was a day in which we were granted a concession. When we had stoned the Jamrah, we became permitted (halal) from everything that had been forbidden to us, except for women, until we circumambulate the House (the Kaaba). If evening came upon us and we had not circumambulated it, we would return to being in the state of Ihram as we were before we stoned the Jamrah, until we circumambulate it. Evening came upon us and we had not circumambulated it, so we took off our shirts as you see."
