Musnad Ahmad 1156:80

Abu al-Nadr narrated to us, Abd al-Hamid narrated to us, Shahr narrated to me, he said: I heard Umm Salamah narrating, she claimed that Fatimah came to the Prophet of Allah complaining to him about the service. She said: "O Messenger of Allah, by Allah, my hands have become calloused from the hand-mill; I grind one time and I knead one time." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said to her: "If Allah provides you with something, it will come to you. But I will guide you to something better than that: when you lie down in your bed, glorify Allah (say *SubhanAllah*) thirty-three times, magnify Him (*Allahu Akbar*) thirty-three times, and praise Him (*Alhamdulillah*) thirty-four times; that is one hundred, and it is better for you than a servant." "And when you have performed the morning prayer, say: 'There is no god but Allah alone, He has no partner, to Him belongs the dominion and to Him belongs the praise, He gives life and causes death, in His hand is all good, and He is over all things competent' (*La ilaha illallah wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamd, yuhyi wa yumit, biyadihi al-khayr, wa huwa 'ala kulli shay'in qadir*), ten times after the morning prayer, and ten times after the sunset prayer. For each one of them, ten good deeds are written, ten evil deeds are removed, and each one of them is like freeing a slave from the children of Ishmael. And it is not permissible for any sin committed that day to overtake it, unless it is shirk (associating partners with Allah)." "There is no god but Allah alone, He has no partner; it is your guard from the time you say it in the morning until you say it in the evening, from every devil and from every evil."
