Musnad Ahmad 1215:2

'Affan narrated to us, he said: Abu 'Awanah narrated to us, he said: Yazid ibn Abi Ziyad narrated to us, from Sulayman ibn 'Amr ibn al-Ahwas, from his mother, who said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stoning the Jamrat al-'Aqabah on the Day of Sacrifice from the bottom of the valley, and he was saying: "O people, do not kill one another, and when you stone the Jamarat, stone them with pebbles the size of a pea." She said: So he threw seven, then he departed and did not stand. She said: And behind him was a man shielding him from the people, so I asked about him, and they said: "He is al-Fadl ibn 'Abbas."
