Musnad Ahmad 482:31

Ishaq ibn Isa narrated to us, he said: Yahya ibn Hamza narrated to us, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Yazid, that Abu Salam narrated to him, he said: Khalid ibn Zayd narrated to me, he said: Uqbah used to come to me and say: "Come out with us to practice archery." One day I was slow to him, or I felt reluctant, so he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, say: "Indeed, Allah the Almighty and Majestic admits three people into Paradise for one arrow: the one who makes it while seeking reward for the good in it, the one who shoots it, and the one who hands it to him." "So shoot and ride, and that you shoot is more beloved to me than that you ride." "And there is no amusement except for three: a man playing with his wife, his training of his horse, and his shooting with his bow. And whoever Allah has taught archery and he abandons it out of aversion to it, then it is a blessing he has denied."
