'Ali ibn Ishaq narrated to us, 'Abdullah ibn al-Mubarak informed us, Harmalah ibn 'Imran informed us, that he heard Yazid ibn Abi Habib narrating that Abu al-Khayr narrated to him that he heard 'Uqbah ibn 'Amir saying: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying: "Every person is in the shade of his charity until it is judged between the people" — or he said: "until it is decided between the people." Yazid said: "And there was not a day that passed Abu al-Khayr without him giving something in charity, even if it were a cake, an onion, or something like that."
