Hadith of Uqbah ibn Amir al-Juhani (RA) from the Prophet (SAW)
حديث عقبة بن عامر الجهني (1) عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 482:52
Hajjaj and Hashim narrated to us, they said: Layth narrated to us, Yazid ibn Abi Habib narrated to me, from Abu al-Khayr, from Uqbah ibn Amir, that he said: A silk garment was gifted to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. He wore it, then prayed in it, then turned away, and he pulled it off with a violent, intense pulling, as if he disliked it. Then he said: "This is not appropriate for the God-fearing."
حدثنا حجاج، وهاشم، قالا: حدثنا ليث، حدثني يزيد بن أبي حبيب، عن أبي الخير، عن عقبة بن عامر، أنه قال: أهدي إلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فروج حرير، فلبسه، ثم صلى فيه، ثم انصرف، فنزعه نزعا عنيفا شديدا كالكاره له، ثم قال: " لا ينبغي هذا للمتقين "
