Musnad Ahmad 941:1

Yahya ibn Adam narrated to us, Zuhayr narrated to us, Ibrahim ibn 'Uqbah narrated to me, Kurayb informed me that he asked Usamah ibn Zayd. He said: I said, "Inform me how you acted on the evening [of Arafah] when I rode behind the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)?" He said: "We came to the mountain pass where the people make their camels kneel for the Maghrib prayer. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) made his she-camel kneel, then he urinated." He said: "He poured water [to cleanse himself], then he called for water for ablution and performed an ablution that was not very thorough." He said: I said, "O Messenger of Allah, the prayer?" He said: "The prayer is ahead of you." He said: "So he rode until he arrived at Muzdalifah, then he performed the iqamah for Maghrib. Then the people made their camels kneel in their stopping places, and they did not dismount until he performed the iqamah for Isha, then he prayed. Then the people dismounted." He said: So I said, "How did you act when you reached the morning?" He said: "Al-Fadl ibn Abbas rode behind him, and I set off among the youth of Quraysh on foot."
