Hadith of Usamah bin Zayd, the beloved of the Messenger of Allah (SAW)

حديث أسامة بن زيد حب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم

Hadith 941:15

Affan narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, Qays ibn Sa'd informed us, from 'Ata', from Ibn 'Abbas, from Usamah, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) departed from 'Arafah with Usamah riding behind him. He began to restrain his she-camel until its withers were almost touching—and perhaps Hammad said: "would strike"—the front part of the saddle, while he was saying: "O people, upon you is tranquility and composure, for righteousness is not in the hastening of camels."

حدثنا عفان، حدثنا حماد بن سلمة، أخبرنا قيس بن سعد، عن عطاء، عن ابن عباس، عن أسامة، أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أفاض من عرفة ورديفه أسامة، فجعل يكبح راحلته حتى أن ذفراها لتكاد أن تمس، وربما قال حماد: أن تصيب، قادمة الرحل، وهو يقول: " يا أيها الناس، عليكم بالسكينة والوقار، فإن البر ليس في إيضاع الإبل "
