Hadith of Usamah bin Zayd, the beloved of the Messenger of Allah (SAW)

Hadith 941:62

Abu Kamil narrated to us, Ibrahim ibn Sa'd narrated to us, Ibn Shihab narrated to us, from a cousin of Usama ibn Zayd who is called 'Iyad—and the daughter of Usama was married to him—he said: A man was mentioned to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, who had come out from some of the countryside. When he was near Medina on some part of the road, the plague afflicted him. He said: That alarmed the people. He said: The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "I truly hope that its mountain passes do not reveal it to us," meaning Medina. And al-Hashimi and Ya'qub narrated it to us, and they both said: That he heard Usama.
