Musnad Ahmad 572:11

Sulayman al-Hashimi narrated to us, Isma'il—meaning Ibn Ja'far al-Madini—narrated to us, Yazid—meaning Ibn Khusayfah—informed me, from 'Amr ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Ka'b al-Sulami, that Nafi' ibn Jubayr informed him that 'Uthman ibn Abi al-'As came to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and a pain had seized him that had almost incapacitated him. He mentioned that to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. He claimed that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said to him: "Place your right hand on the place where you feel pain, and wipe over it seven times, and say: 'I seek refuge in the might of Allah and His power from the evil of what I feel,' with every wipe."
