Hadith 687:1
Abu Nu'aym narrated to us, Mis'ar narrated to us, from 'Abd al-Jabbar ibn Wa'il, who said: My family narrated to me, from my father, who said: "A bucket of water was brought to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. He drank from it, then he spat into the bucket, then he poured it into the well, or he drank from the bucket, then he spat into the well, and there wafted from it [a scent] like the fragrance of musk."
حدثنا أبو نعيم، حدثنا مسعر، عن عبد الجبار بن وائل ، قال: حدثني أهلي، عن أبي قال: " أتي النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بدلو من ماء فشرب منه، ثم مج في الدلو، ثم صب في البئر أو شرب من الدلو، ثم مج في البئر، ففاح منها مثل ريح المسك "
