Hadith 687:25
Rawh narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Simak, from 'Alqamah ibn Wa'il, from his father, that Tariq ibn Suwayd al-Ju'fi asked the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, about wine. He forbade him, or disliked for him, to make it. He said: "We only make it for medicine." He said: "It is not medicine, but it is a disease."
حدثنا روح، حدثنا شعبة، عن سماك، عن علقمة بن وائل، عن أبيه أن طارق بن سويد الجعفي سأل النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم عن الخمر، فنهاه أو كره له أن يصنعها، فقال: إنما نصنعها للدواء فقال: " إنه ليس بدواء ولكنه داء "
