Hadith of Wa'il ibn Hujr (RA)

Hadith 687:29

'Affan narrated to us, he said: Hammam narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Jahadah narrated to us, he said: 'Abd al-Jabbar ibn Wa'il narrated to me, from 'Alqamah ibn Wa'il and a freed slave of theirs, that they both narrated to him, from his father Wa'il ibn Hujr, that he saw the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, raise his hands when he entered into the prayer and said the takbir. Hammam gestured level with his ears. Then he wrapped himself in his garment, then he placed his right hand upon his left. When he intended to bow, he took his hands out from the garment, then he raised them, and said the takbir, then he bowed. When he said, "Allah hears those who praise Him," he raised his hands. And when he prostrated, he prostrated between his palms.
