Musnad Ahmad 447:10

Muhammad ibn Mus'ab narrated to us, he said: Al-Awza'i narrated to us, from Shaddad Abu 'Ammar, from Wathilah ibn al-Asqa', that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Indeed, Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, chose Ishmael from the children of Abraham, and He chose Kinanah from the children of Ishmael, and He chose Quraysh from the children of Kinanah, and He chose the Banu Hashim from Quraysh, and He chose me from the Banu Hashim."
